Hello! Thank you so much for taking the time to check out my website. My name is Laura Christopher. I’m originally from Hazleton, Pennsylvania. I’ve been living in and loving the Reno area since 2014. I am a proud dog mom of two adorable rescue dogs, Hoppy & Jackson. I am married to a wonderful supportive husband, Ryan. I am beyond passionate about my career as a hairstylist, educator, mentor, & social influencer. I aim to give you the most luxurious, rich, yet low maintenance look that you have been seeking.

I have been behind the chair making my guests feel and look their best since 2005. Bringing your vision to life with your hair is the best feeling. When you are in my chair that time is for you. It’s time to relax and know you and your hair are in the best hands. I will not only set your expectations at the start of your appointment but I will also make you feel at ease knowing the health of your hair is my number one priority. With that in mind, we can work towards your hair goals together with 100% transparency. I work with the highest quality products available & don’t rush or skip steps. I am always keeping up with new techniques and trends through in person & online education from the best of the best. I am confident I can guide you towards a beautiful, custom look tailored to your budget and lifestyle.

I have been an Extensionist for 18yrs. Starting out with Fusion (also known as k-tip) extensions. And now offer sewn in weft extensions as well. I am part of the Hairlocs extension team creating content with their hair for instagram. I also travel the country educating for Dreamcatchers, a top of the line hair extension company. I educate on Weft, K-tip, I-tip, & Tape in extensions.

I am not only a passionate hair artist I am also an educator. I am co-owner of Blonding & Beyond, a technique based traveling education group spreading the best in education throughout the country. I also represent several brands that I adore on social media. One being Olaplex. Olaplex is not only an amazing company but the products they make are the best at keeping your hair healthy and helping stylists create the most sought after looks. I am also a part of the CosmoPro Team where I get to try and review some amazing brands that are a part of Cosmoprof Beauty. Olivia Garden makes some of the best brushes and hot tools in our industry. I am so beyond proud to be an Ambassador for them. I was a BehindTheChair.com One Shot Nominee in 2019. That means I was in the top 25 photos out of 35,000 submitted! I also made the top 100 twice last year for the same contest. I was also a finalist in the Cosmoprof License to Create Awards in 2019. My work has been published in the 2019 Manic Panic Look Book. My Mini Kiss technique how to has been featured on Modern Salon’s website. I have been featured and used for marketing through Olaplex for Sephora with photos of my work appearing on the Sephora.com site. I’ve been interview by Ipsy on balayage. I made it to stage 4 of the Alfaparf Colorist of the Year contest 2021. And I have been featured on many brand pages on Instagram and Facebook. All of which I am very proud of. Also I am a mentor to several hairstylist in the Reno area and beyond. I even have my own assistant program which I run yearly mentoring 2 stylists and helping them learn all things color and business behind the chair.

One of my fave sayings is “A rising tide raises all ships”. With this in mind, I continue to help elevate the beauty industry through kindness, inspiration, spreading and sharing knowledge with those who seek it.
